XB Sexy Cocktail

XB is a bottled cocktail inspired by a Sex on the Beach. It’s made with real fruit juice and features a blend of orange, cranberry, peach and grape juices – as well as triple distilled Swiss vodka. What’s unusual about it is that it can be used as a component in cocktails, not just served on the rocks, and what is even more unusual is that it actually tastes very good. It’s not too sweet, but has a subtle fruitiness to it. 

XB was just released in California and I had a chance to taste it at a release party the other night and found that it is definitely a versatile product to play around with. The XB Sexy was the hit of the night, a great balance of fresh cucumber, honey, gin and XB that is a great way to cool down on a hot summer afternoon.

Glassware: Highball
Method: Shake

Ingredients
2 oz Gin
3/4 oz XB
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz honey syrup
2 cucumber slices
soda water
additional cucumber slices, for garnish (optional)

Combine all of the ingredients except the soda water into an ice filled shaker and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a highball glass that is filled with ice.
Top with soda water and garnish with extra cucumber slice.
