Maple syrup was always a condiment for pancakes and waffles…
Sweet tea is a staple in the South, especially during the summer when you need a big, tall glass of something cold to beat the humidity. The addition of some vodka turns an afternoon drink into an evening one and gives this tea an edge that will help you unwind as well as cool you down.
3 Cups of Water
5 Cups of Chilled Water
6 Tea Bags
1 1/2 Cups of Sugar
For the tea, bring 3 quarts of water to a boil. Remove the water from heat, add the tea bags, and cover. Let the tea bags steep for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Add five cups of chilled water and give it a quick stir. Now, pour 2 oz. of vodka into an ice tea glass over ice, fill with sweet tea, and garnish with a lemon.
