A Sour Apple Martini sounds like one of the more…
Peppermint Schnapps After Dinner Drinks
A bottle of Homemade Peppermint Schnapps is a great thing to have at your bar during the holidays. There is just something about peppermint that is perfect for cold winter nights, especially around the holidays. But as tasty as peppermint schnapps is, it can be difficult to come up with drinks that use it because peppermint doesn’t go with everything. You have to find out what flavors work well with it and build from there. I recommend chocolate and coffee as the perfect starting points for experimentation.
To get you started, here are three excellent after dinner drinks that all feature peppermint schnapps: a Peppermint Grasshopper, After 5 Coffee and Peppermint Hot Cocoa. They’ll all good choices for sipping by the fire – especially if you need something with a kick when you’re serving regular hot chocolate for the kids.
And even though I usually incorporate my schnapps into festive drinks, don’t forget that you can always sip it straight from a small glass for a concentrated dose of holiday cheer.
