Johnnie Walker’s new spokesman is Bruce Lee


In China, the government has been cracking down on luxury goods with higher taxes and some brands are being forced to get a little more creative to keep their sales up. Johnnie Walker is one such brand and has enlisted a very unusual spokesman to promote their scotch in China: Bruce Lee. The famous martial artist died in 1973, but with some digital help, a CGI version of Lee is promoting Johnnie Walker Blue Label in a short video ad being aired in China. It’s an unexpected combination (mostly because Lee died so many years ago), but his daughter, Shannon Lee, ‘thought the video would be an “innovative way to get my father’s ideas out.”‘
