Honey Syrup for Cocktails
Simple syrup is a staple behind the bar because it can easily be used to sweeten any drink, hot or cold, but it isn’t the only option for sweetening a drink. Honey syrup is another good choice. It can be incorporated just as easily as simple syrup and it can give a drink a rich, slightly floral note, as well as an even sweeter finish. Honey itself is too thick to easily incorporate into drinks, so this recipe is for a simple honey syrup that blends in effortlessly.
Yield: 2 Cups

1 Cup Honey
1 Cup Water
Combine the water and sugar in a small sauce pan. Stir over medium-high heat until the honey is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and cool to room temperature. Store tightly sealed in the fridge.
