A greyhound is a simple cocktail made with vodka and grapefruit juice. The only problem with it is that the natural bitterness of grapefruit doesn’t appeal to everyone, even though it works well with vodka. The solution is to sweeten it up a little so you get a great citrus flavor without that bitterness. In this Honey Mint Greyhound, some honey syrup gives just the right amount of sweetness of the grapefruit juice and fresh mint makes the whole cocktail even more refreshing.
2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Honey Syrup
2 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
7-8 Mint Leaves
Drop 7-8 mint leaves into a mixing glass with the vodka and honey syrup. Muddle well. Now add the grapefruit juice and fill with ice. Shake and strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
