Ginger Gold Rush

A Gold Rush is a drink that I always gravitate towards because it’s simple and delicious. It contains two of my favorite ingredients – honey and bourbon – proving that cocktails don’t need to be overly complex to be worth drinking. I will never turn down a classic Gold Rush, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to change things up occasionally by using it as a base for other flavors, as well. This Ginger Gold Rush offers a slight variation on the classic by adding Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur to the bourbon and lemon Gold Ruse base. Domaine De Canton is flavored with vanilla, honey and ginger root, so it has a slightly sweet flavor with a floral note from the vanilla and warm spice from the ginger.

Since Domaine De Canton is slightly sweeted and you may find that you don’t need to use as much honey syrup as you might put in a regular Gold Rush. I really enjoy how honey and ginger go together, so I always include a little more. If you’re looking for something a bit less sweet, simply reduce or omit the honey syrup from your drink and just stick with the ginger liqueur.
