Fresh Midori Sour
Midori sours are popular because they are sweet and easy to drink – but most places don’t make them very well. Using fresh juices instead of a bland, premade “sour mix” makes a huge difference and will turn an ok drink into a great one. Adding egg white to the shaker gives the drink a light, foamy top. If you’re not comfortable with using a fresh egg white, you can get a carton of pasteurized egg whites from the grocery store which are totally safe to eat raw and are easy to measure.
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Method: Shake
Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Midori
2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz. Fresh Orange Juice
1/2 oz. Egg White
Pour all ingredients into an ice filled shaker. Shake until chilled and all the ingredients, especially the egg white, are mixed. You should see froth on the mixing glass. Strain into an ice filled glass and garnish with a cherry.
