Classic Champagne Cocktails For New Year’s Eve
The only thing more festive than a glass of freshly-poured champagne is a freshly made champagne cocktail. As festive as bubbly is by itself – whether you’re drinking champagne, prosecco, sparkling wine or cava – turning it into a cocktail makes it a lot more fun by bringing new flavors to the party. They also help bottles of inexpensive champagne go from average to amazing by giving them a little more dimension, which means you can opt for a lower price bubbly when you’re stocking up for your New Year’s Eve party and no one will be the wiser.
Here are 5 classic champagne cocktails that will get your New Year off to a fantastic start – and one champagne punch that is perfect for serving a crowd.

This last drink isn’t a simple cocktail. It’s a sparkling punch that is perfect for serving a big group because it means that you don’t need to spend all your time behind the bar. It is typically made with New Age wine, an inexpensive and sweet sparkling wine from Argentina. Any slightly sweet champagne or sparkling wine will make a good stand in if you can’t find New Age, and the punch will be so popular that you don’t need to worry about it losing its fizz before you run out.
