Apple Juice Syrup

This is a super easy recipe for apple syrup. I originally had the idea for apple pancake syrup and started to experiment. While it is delicious on pancakes, I soon started using it for cocktails as well. They syrup has the consistency of simple syrup and an intense fresh apple flavor. In the fall, you can add spices like cinnamon and cloves to the syrup as it reduces to infuse it with a warm cider flavor.

The syrup starts off with fresh apple juice. You can use any brand as long as it is pure apple juice to get the best flavor in the finished syrup. I used a bottle of Trader Joe’s Fresh Pressed Apple Juice for this recipe.
